One Eye, Three Points of View, and a Blue Moon

The iPhone, doesn’t replace my grown-up cameras, of course, which are the new Canon 5D Mark IIIs. They are the reliable […] Read More

Charlie Daniels was best known for his fast fiddling, and especially his hit, "The Devil Goes Down to Georgia." I took this of him at a Billy Graham Crusade in Oklahoma City in 2003 where he was singing, "I'll Fly Away." Charlie flew away today, he was 83. #charliedaniels @cntrforcreativephoto ...

Happy 4th of July! On this day in 1976 as we celebrated the Bicentennial of our country, I was with President Ford when he, 1) attended church at St. John's in Washington (and didn’t hold a bible over his head for a photo op), 2) delivered a speech in Valley Forge, signed a scroll affirming a recommitment to the nation's democratic ideals, then climbed atop a covered wagon to greet the crowd, 3) Gave a speech in front of Independence Hall in Philadelphia where he said, "Success in that final struggle for independence . . . was due to the strength and support of ordinary men and women who were motivated by three powerful impulses: personal freedom, self-government, and national unity." 4) Stood on the deck of the USS Forrestal and then the USS Nashville in New York Harbor to greet the tall ships of Operation Sail representing 15 countries 5) Watched the biggest fireworks show ever from the Truman Balcony at the White House. It was quite a day. A non-partisan day. I was glad to have been a part of it. @cntrforcreativephoto ...
